The Civility Project is a community initiative that will be gathering steam in Spring 2017.
Articles filed under Planning and Design highlight best practices which produce human-scaled, walkable communities. Charrettes are very much a part of planning and design but are called out separately due to their central importance as a collaborative design process that makes pedestrian-oriented development feasible. Subjects covered here range from transportation planning to intergovernmental cooperation to something as simple as picking up litter soon after the snow melts.
If you’re aware of something a jurisdiction around the globe is doing to foster good development, please reach out to the Civility Project.
